Gergely
Böszörményi-Nagy
Author, entrepreneur, and founder of Brain Bar
I come from a lineage of teachers, artists, and polymaths. My writing is driven by the conviction that to chart the future, we must dismantle the walls between competing ideologies and silos of knowledge—bridging science, philosophy, and the arts to reclaim a holistic approach to our shared challenges. Look for my new book in the fall of 2026.
Back in 2015, I launched Brain Bar—Europe’s pioneering future festival. My goal was to create a space where ambitious students, passionate teachers, and curious professionals could find both the insight and the drive to face our century’s biggest challenges. Brain Bar dismantles the barriers between diverse disciplines and worldviews, while bridging the gap between speakers and the audience. Now an annual landmark, it brings together 200 leading thinkers and 15,000 global participants, collaborating with international brands to nurture the next generation of talent.
Since childhood, I’ve been fascinated by dinosaurs and the concept of deep time—a perspective that allows us to interpret the world’s vast shifts over millions of years. It is a privilege to serve as the patron of the Hungarian Dinosaur Research Expedition, a team of passionate scientists making globally significant discoveries about the history of life on Earth.
Thoughts (mainly) about books from the world of science, culture and politics.
